Belly Dancing is one of the oldest forms of dance and expression. It originated in several Middle Eastern countries such as Lebanon, Egypt, and Turkey. Today, you can see that it has evolved through many European and American influences. There are several types of belly dancing styles and this class will focus on the Modern Lebanese Style. The Modern Lebanese Belly Dancer will dance to Middle Eastern folk music, drum beats, or modern pop music. This class will teach you the underlying basics of how to move the belly dancing body at different speeds and provide you with an excellent body toning workout. Whether you are a complete beginner or a professional, this class will strengthen your body and challenge your mind. You’ll have ample opportunities to practice and learn choreography, and meet amazing people along the way.
